My infant is coming to the church nursery for the first time. What should I bring?
Your diaper bag should contain extra clothes, food, and a pacifier if needed. Please label all items to ensure their safe return. If you have any special feeding instructions, let our nursery workers know when you drop off your child.
Who are your volunteers?
All of our volunteers have received special training on the protection of children and undergo regular background checks. Only approved volunteers are allowed to care for children at FAB. To further ensure your children's safety, we ask that you sign in your children at our check-in station, noting any allergies and special instructions. Upon check-in, you and your children will receive matching stickers. When you pick up your children, present your sticker to our volunteers.
How are children's classes divided?
Our children are separated by age for some activities, but we also meet frequently as a larger group to encourage children of different ages to grow in faith together. Currently, due to COVID-19, our attendance is lower, and our children's classes are combined until we phase back all of our teachers and volunteers.
- Infants & Toddlers ages 0-3
- Preschoolers-3rd grade
- 3rd grade and up: Our 3rd-5th graders are invited forward for The Future, and are invited to continue worship in the sanctuary with their parents. Currently, they are welcome to attend Second Hour if they prefer.
Do you require masks for children?
During this time we are still following state and federal protocols for mask-wearing while indoors. We ask that school-age children 5 & up wear a mask while indoors or in close-contact with others outside of their family unit. All adult volunteers will also be wearing masks while your children are in their care indoors.
