Leadership Team

High School Small Groups

On Sunday evenings, high school youth gather for small groups led by adult volunteers. Two small groups—girls & boys—meet  from 6 to 8.

Wednesday Night Middle School

On Wednesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. in the FAB Lab, the middle school youth get together for Bible Study, worship lead by 412 and various mission projects.

We regularly get together with other youth groups in the West Virginia Baptist Convention for discipleship and fellowship—and an annual game of Broomball, held at an ice skating rink in Charleston.

Our youth attend weeklong camps held throughout the summer at Camp Cowen, youth conventions held in churches throughout the state, and other events that feature engaging guest speakers, uplifting music, and unique opportunities for spiritual growth.

Many of our youth serve in leadership roles with the West Virginia Baptist Convention’s YLC (Youth Leader Core) and YMPT (Youth Ministry Planning Team).

Youth are more than the future leaders of the church; they are leaders today also. Our Youth Leader Team is a group of primarily high school students who have been equipped by FAB and WVBC leaders to lead in areas of Bible study, worship, missions, and other ministries. The Youth Leader Team meets monthly to be equipped with new skills to lead in our youth ministry.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." -1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

412, our youth praise band, aims to lead others in worship across all generations in a God-honoring way. Guided by 1 Timothy 4:12, our hope is that we set an example for other believers through the gift of music.

For more information about 412, email Pastor Von .Davontae@fithavenuebaptist.org
