Growing together

Utilizing the book, "Growing Young: 6 Essential Strategies to Help Young People Discover and Love Your Church," we are learning how to better help people of all ages to love and follow Jesus through the life of Fifth Avenue Baptist. We are giving special focus to young people ages 18 to 30, but we believe the entire church will grow through this work. 


Step 1: Congregational survey to help us reflect on our current ministry with young people. Every person at our church is invited to take the survey.


Step 2: Discuss the six characteristics of churches that are growing young, as described in the book. Our pastors will begin guiding online teaching based on the book beginning Wednesday, January 20th. 


Step 3: Follow where God leads!

Discussions on growing together

Over a period of several weeks, our pastors will guide discussions on how we can grow together while employing strategies found in the book, "Growing Young: Six Essential Strategies to Help Young People Discover and Love Your Church."

We encourage all who are interested to read the book. 


Small group discussions will take place in several of our commissions, and other discussion groups will be formed beginning in February. 


The church will be purchasing copies for distribution, and you are welcome to purchase a copy yourself. They are available for pickup in the office the week of January 25th Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at the lower 12th St. door.
